Hoy traemos a este espacio esta transcripción de Peter Devine, diseñador del Institute of Educational Technology, titulada: “Blockchain learning: can crypto-currency methods be appropriated to enhance online learning?” pronunciada en la ALT Online Winter Conference 2015, 7–10 Dec 2015, extraida de la Open Research Online de la Open University y que nos presenta así:

My name is Peter Devine, I work at the Institute of Educational Technology, at The Open University. I am a designer, not a developer and the following talk is from a design perspective. If possible I would like to leave any questions until the end of my talk. During my professional engagement in the design of online educational tools and resources I have observed learners and teachers demonstrating frustration with many of the standard online learning tools available. Whilst the cause of the frustration is open to speculation, I sense the need to review alternative methods of online student engagement. I have chosen to explore The Blockchain to see if the OpenSource framework behind crypto-currencies can provide any improvements or enhancements to the existing online teaching and learning experience. This is not an attempt to sell the idea of using the Blockchain, but to begin the process — if it has not already begun in the minds of some — of discussing the relative merits of the technology that are being explored by JP Morgan, Barclays Bank, economists, activists as well as academics and technologists.
