Dr. Patrick M. Byrne closed the first night at TNABC in what was probably hands down the best speech of the day. Mr. Bryne was a visionary with his involvement in taking a risk with Overstock to start accepting Bitcoin. That move allowed for Overstock to be a leader in the initial acceptance of bitcoin and pushed forward many other sponsored initiatives, education and development in the space.

Patrick M. Byrne (born 1962, Fort Wayne, Indiana) is an American entrepreneur, e-commerce pioneer and CEO of Overstock.com.
